Nv4500 grinds 2nd. It sort of feels like it engages roughly throughout the gears. The problem is less frequent on 1999 and newer Dodge turbo-diesel trucks with the revised factory 5th gear nut. My problem is third gear grinds bad going into gear and 4th gear has a growl. No luck. Weather I’m down shifting into second or if I’m at a stop and try to take off in second it grinds. To the point that by the time I get into 3rd gear, I'm at a rolling stop pace.
