  1. Formal observation lesson ideas 2nd grade. I currently teach ELA for 2nd grade. The lesson plan aims to teach six new sight words to 1st and 2nd grade students over 30 minutes. Students asked the birthday student questions about his favorite book, toy, sport, etc. These core ideas build on each other as students progress through grade levels and are grouped into the following four domains: Physical Science, Life Science, Earth and Space Science, and Engineering. My observation this year is with my new Principal, so I'd like to impress him. Ask questions, tell about your experiences in the classroom; and share lesson plans, teaching ideas and advice I'll probably change my mind 5 times from now 'till my pre-observation conference.
