Yes there's a lot of below average photography on the site, but it's becoming increasingly hard to sort the good photography from the better than average Midjourney- or Stable Diffusion-type content. Unlimited storage of original high res photos. Community is super quiet now though. Also their Explore feature (IG stole that name from them btw) actually rewards the photographer with continuous exposure for months on end, as once you get Explored you become part of the 16 day cycle and will always get Explored every 16 days for an extended period. -I can upload once to Flickr then pretty much cross-post it wherever else I like on the internet without having to worry about it. Ad-free browsing both for you AND for the people browsing your photostream. I've used the site for years not really as a backup, but for a place to say "this is where you can look at the photos I think are the best I've taken".
